According to the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, our public transport system and services are World Class.

Indeed, our transport authority has not only excel in their roles and responsibilities but go beyond their scope to contribute to other aspects of nation building.

    Just by thinking of taking mrt from 5 dec 2011(for 5 days) to orchard in the morn...i very bo mood liao....i hav to push n squeeze..pushhh....very hard...and cant breath in the train, will die very fast.

    I seriously think that some time Singapore just make things "big" almost say up to world standard but not humble enough to say that the transport still not update to date due to the sqeeze. I sincerely believe that if compare Perth train with Singapore train is a lot x100 better at all time. Even te rush hour also better. At least the people inside the train can breath and I don't mind paying slightly higher fare for the confortable journey.

    @ Peyning: The Singapore Government will tell you public transport standards are worse in Japan or London and whatsoever. When things are good, they brag about it for days in the Straits Times. When things are wrong, they'll compare backwards. In years to come, we'll lag behind other countries because the government refuses to listen to the people.

    @Ah Pooh: Dunno why leh, the first East-West line was quite reliable for at least 10 years. then slowly all problems come. Maybe due to maintenance issues or could be management issues. Not too sure. These delays are not cool for everyday commuters man.

    I'm upset with all the payhikes and their enormous amount of net profit by SMRT, yet they couldn't hire a capable person to take charge of SMRT.
